I was lucky enough to travel to Argentina in July/
August 2023. If I could count how many empanadas
I ate, they’d send me to an empanadas rehab.
The culture in Argentina is work life balance. The
start of the day isn’t early, breakfast is not a big thing
so some Yerba Mate or coffee is plenty until lunch.
Eating a huge lunch is normal while washing it down
with some Malbec. Eating dinner at 10:30 p.m. or
later is when you eat. Our last dinner in Buenos
Aires was at 1a.m.
There isn’t a lot of dressing up in Buenos Aires, it
was casual comfort. Tennis shoes and boots are the
usual footwear of choice for daytime, sometimes a
heel would pop out at night but rarely. Jeans and
slacks are the preference for the lower half. It was
their fall/winter so seeing a lot of pants was normal.
On the top, there were a lot of sweaters, long sleeve
tops and coats but with the youth, there were many
forms of crop tops, the usual teen choice.
The weather was warm in the sun but chilly if you
were in the shade. It was very cool in the evening as
well, which brings me to layering your clothing.
From a cool morning breakfast, to a hike on a
mountain followed by a few hours in a museum and
then off to dinner and a show, you need options.
Here is what I wore while traveling and exploring
Argentina.
I layered the Songa Dress with the Lucky Long
Sleeve a lot. I also wore the Sweet Sweats with a
Talking T-Shirt on top and then brought the Lucky
Long Sleeve along. During the day the Straight Up
Skirt was perfect since it was covering my legs while
in the shade, where it was cooler, then exposed to
the sun, it kept me cool & protected. The long skirt is
functional and cute & I paired the Straight Up Skirt
with tennis shoes and boots.
While driving for long hours, the Songa Dress was
perfect. Super easy to get in and out of the car to
see sights. When flying to the next destination I
chose the Sweet Sweats & a Talking T-Shirt. The
Lucky Long Sleeve was always quick to grab.
For dinner I wore the Songa Dress and Lucky Long
Sleeve. I threw on some earrings and a necklace to
dress it up.
I designed the first collection to be travel friendly,
durable for laundry & interchangeable for
convenience. Hope you get to travel more for
pleasure and explore this awesome planet in
comfort without sacrificing style.
Safe travels friend!
Hugs,
Leslie
